Hugh Jackman Diet and Workout

Hugh Jackman Diet and Workout

Hugh Jackman is famous not only for his role in the billion dollar plus X-Men franchise as the ripped superhero, Wolverine, but his pristinely toned and sexy physique. By following the Hugh Jackman diet and workout, you will attain his both appealing aesthetic, as well as his amazing and performance.

When preparing for the 2009 movie, Australia which he performed in with Nicole Kidman, the action star decided he needed to step up his workout routine and diet in order to prepare.

I’d done a bit of horse riding but then I read the script and realized what was expected of me. It said I had to corral 100 wild horses, which went up to 200 when we were shooting. At that point I realized I had a lot of work to do physically. I actually rode every day for a year leading up to the film and then every day while we were filming.”

But that was no hard obstacle for Jackman who spent 2 years alone in the gym just preparing to shoot X-Men Origins. He says,

“I train for an hour and a half a day, five days a week – weights, treadmill, rowing, everything. Then I do what my trainer calls ‘a play session’ on the sixth, which previously would have killed me in itself.”

Here’s the breakdown of his daily diet routine during workouts:

-4 a.m; Gets up for breakfast and eats Egg Whites

-7 a.m; A combination of Protein or Steamed Vegetables and Brown Rice

-Afternoon; No Rice or Carbohydrates. Just Vegetables and Meat or Fish

It’s easy to see how Jackman gets a body like that with his strict diet. Some might find that it’s too stringent and constrictive, but Wolverine seems to have no problem with that.

“I’m not going to live this way for the rest of my life. I do have treats, I love dark chocolate, beer and red wine. I love going out for dinner and do cheat sometimes.”

So obviously if you want to achieve a Hugh Jackman level body, then you should follow the Hugh Jackman Diet and Workout. That includes a diet high and protein as well as simple vegetable based carbs with the exclusion of complex carbohydrates like your bread and pastas. The reason for not wanting the complex carbs is to reduce insulin spikes which can spur unwanted fat growth.

Gotta love this guy.
